Drive Chip and Putt, putting practice. The contest has set distances for the putts. So we have been practicing those distances. 6, 15 and 30 feet.

Matthew continued working on his setup and aiming. His coach also worked on his driver and position at the top of the swing. It is getting better.

Matthew attended another golf summer camp this week. Culminating in a round with the other participants. First time he has played holes without me present. He teed off from the Ladies tees and shot 4 over. Not bad. (Thanks to Chris Martinz for the photos.)

Matthew working on his swing at the range in Davao. While we were on vacation, I tried to get Matt to the range / golf course 2-3 times per week. He loved the fact that he had a “ball girl” and even if he did’t gain anything during the trip, he didn’t lose anything.
During our trip to the Philippines Matt continued to work on his game. Today he did some stretching and mirror work at the country club’s gym.

Matthew played in another US Kids tournament today at River Crossing Golf Club. He placed 2nd today and had a few blow up holes. The work continues.
We traveled to Corpus Christi, Texas to qualify for the 2015-2016 Drive Chip and Putt. Matthew had a rough day but advanced to the 2nd round which will be held at River Crossing in August.
