Matt having his weekly lesson. Have been working at length with chipping and ball striking. His coach working on technical swing positions with Matt. He responded well, hitting the ball crisp, high and the correct distance. Matt’s swing is at the stage where only tiny changes are necessary to clean it up. The work continues.

Matt having his weekly lesson with Coach Martin, working exclusively on his short game. This is the last major piece of his game that is wanting. We figure it is worth about 2-3 strokes around in it’s current state.
Matt working again on his short game. Putting practice and chipping work. Putting we worked on his 6 footers and 12 footers. Chipping we did some 10-15 yard work as well as some arbitrary drop ball work.

Matthew had his weekly lesson today and his coach took him out on the course to work on some different shots. Working on using different clubs to get up and down vs solely the sand wedge.
Matt has been working hard for the past week in preparation for the Texas Open and the Tour Championships this month. He is starting to realize that there is more than just swinging the club correctly and there is a whole new world of ball striking to be discovered.
Matt back with his swing coach, working on the tempo and finish of his swing. Matt dong a good job at getting all the way through the shot, without a good finish ball striking will suffer.
Matt working with his coach today, mostly on setup and alignment. Not a whole lot wrong in this regard. But we constantly have to check the procedure and the outcome of the setup to stay on track.

Matt saw his coach again today for his weekly lesson. They watched his tournament round from last weekend and discussed what could be done better to achieve the scoring results he is looking for. They then proceeded to work on tightening up his setup and worked on general ball striking.
